Daily Journal – 1/20/2025: Dreams

Normally, I don’t remember my dreams, but lately, they have returned. I used to dream as a child and even have very lucid dreams. In my teenage years, I would often wake up in my dreams and begin to explore. Around the age of 18, I found that my dreams began to stop. I always attributed this to the fact that I started smoking weed regularly. When I would stop smoking marijuana, my dreams would return with a vengeance, and I would have drug dreams constantly. I would have dreams where I got fired from my job, or I would be out on the town drunk, and someone would hand me a joint, which I would hit. Then, I would panic for the rest of the dream until I woke up. After a few weeks, I would have no dreams again.

Now things have shifted for me. Over the last year, I have been having dreams every once in a while. I have been having random dreams, and some felt so lucid. One dream was of me talking on the phone with someone while walking through a small courtyard in a foreign village. I’m not sure where it was, but I could feel the breeze, smell the air, and hear the ambient noise of the village. It was at night, and flames lit the paths. I could see goats, chickens, and cows wandering freely. I heard myself saying, “Yeah, we are doing great! Everyone here is so friendly, and the family loves it.” I was carrying a handful of shopping bags as gifts for someone. I could move through the scene freely, disconnected from myself, and felt as if I was witnessing a future moment or alternate timeline.

I have also been having random anxiety dreams, like me losing the kids. Then I have been having dreams of just sitting in a place of colorful energy. Recently, I had fever dreams; they were very intense and eye-opening for me. I had moments where it was almost like a funhouse delirium laughing at me, but I saw a face behind this as if they were doing spellwork on me. This moved into a black dragon rising from the darkness to defend me. This dragon was accompanied by a white dragon, and they blew flames of corresponding colors at me that formed the Ying Yang design. The black dragon was the dragon of the void, and the white dragon was the dragon of light. The flame of light was the flame of creation, and the flame of the void destroyed the creation to recycle the energy. Each dragon was part of the cosmic cycle. The white dragon was breathing new positive energy into me, and the black dragon was destroying the negative energy in me.

I encourage anyone who reads this to use this visualization. It creates balance in your life and harmonizes your energy. That which should be part of your creation will flow in, and that which should be let go will be removed. This is the cycle of energy in our life, and this dream represents a cleansing and balancing.
